Captain Planet: Energy Expeditions
Group Members: Reshley Andrew Dalisay, Kimberlee Au, Shannon Klum
For our project, we researched many different alternative sources or energy and described the pros and cons of each and put it all together in a adventerous plot starring the Planeteers and Captain Planet from the popular children's cartoon series Captain Planet. Below is our video project that we ended up with.
(VIDEO WILL BE UP AS SOON AS IT IS UPLOADED TO YOUTUBE)

Group I: Chloe, Yuki, Vivian, Kristen
The first link below is a brochure about solar, wind, and hydroelectric power. And the second link is a powerpoint that our group put together to help others understand more about the three alternative energy sources. Please check it out!

Group II: Kimberly, Krysti, Shelby, Sophia
Below is a powerpoint file which is a supplement to our research paper from the previous page. Various alternative energy sources such as water power, wind power, solar power, biomass energy, and nuclear energy are presented.

Group V: Fuel Efficiency Future vs. Now

Mark S.
Kevin U.
Christopher C.

Our project was lab to test which types of fuel and hydrocarbons were the most efficient. We tested Ethanol, Methanol, Petroleum, and Diesel Fuel. We calculated heat from the temperature change. Then calculated energy from the amount of heat.

Here is a power point we made to show a brief overview of what we did:

Group VI:

Our powerpoint discusses possible solutions for Hawaii's landfill issues, including Joseph Longo's Plasma Converter

Group VII: Fuel Efficiency

Charles Sonido
Bert Weeks
Kristin Lim
Landon Nagata

Our project was to do an experiment which hearted fuels to see which were most efficient. We tested ethanol, premium, and regular gasoline. We calculated the change in heat and used that info to see which fuel burned most efficiently.

Hpower

This project discusses the benefits of Hpower- a waste to energy factory on Oahu.
